THREAD LIFTING
TREATMENT

We believe in enhancing your natural beauty through innovative and advanced techniques. Thread lifting is one such revolutionary procedure that can help you achieve a lifted and youthful appearance without the need for invasive surgery. Let’s explore what thread lifting is all about.

What is Thread Lifting?

Thread lifting is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure designed to lift and tighten sagging skin, restoring a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance. The treatment involves the use of specialised threads strategically placed beneath the skin to lift and support the tissue. We use careful positioning and placement of the threads using a cannula technique so there is a precise placement with a minimally invasive approach.

Types of Thread Lifting

PDO (Polydioxanone), PLLA (Poly-L-lactic acid), and PCA (Polycaprolactone) are different types of threads used in thread lifting procedures. Each type has unique characteristics, mechanisms of action, and applications. Here’s a brief overview of the differences between PDO, PLLA, and PCA threads:

  1. PDO Threads:
    • Material: Polydioxanone, a biocompatible and absorbable polymer.
    • Mechanism of Action: PDO threads provide immediate lifting effects by physically supporting and lifting sagging tissues. Over time, they stimulate collagen production, contributing to improved skin texture and elasticity.
    • Duration of Results: PDO threads usually provide a temporary lift, and the effects may last for 9-12 months. The threads are eventually absorbed by the body.
  2. PLLA Threads:
    • Material: Poly-L-lactic acid, a biocompatible synthetic substance that stimulates collagen production.
    • Mechanism of Action: PLLA threads work by inducing collagen synthesis in the skin. The gradual increase in collagen helps improve skin volume and tightness over time. Results are subtle and natural-looking.
    • Duration of Results: The effects of PLLA threads are longer-lasting compared to PDO threads. Results may continue to improve for several months, and the effects can last up to two years or more.
  3. PCA Threads:
    • Material: Polycaprolactone, a biocompatible synthetic substance.
    • Mechanism of Action: PCA threads provide immediate lifting effects similar to PDO threads. Additionally, they stimulate collagen production, contributing to long-term improvements in skin quality and texture.
    • Duration of Results: PCA threads offer a balance between immediate lift and long-term collagen stimulation. The effects can last for up to 12 months, and the threads are gradually absorbed by the body.

It’s important to note that the choice between PDO, PLLA, and PCA threads may depend on individual factors such as the desired outcome, skin condition, and the practitioner’s expertise. During your consultation, your specific needs will be assessed, and we will recommend the most suitable type of thread for you.

How it works:

During the procedure, fine threads are carefully inserted beneath the skin using cannulas for precision and placement. Once in place, these threads provide support and lift to the targeted areas. The threads also stimulate collagen production, promoting long-lasting improvements in skin tightness and texture. The area being treated will be first have some local anaesthetic applied so that the procedure is as comfortable experience for you as possible.
