The cosmetic industry has used celebrity endorsement to promote products for decades. Glitzy billboards and magazines adorned with our favourite famous faces looking flawless and youthful was guaranteed to get our attention. But it seems we have now entered a new age of influence, one in which the airbrushed, posed promotions aren’t holding as much weight as they used to.

What we really want to see…

We want to see inside the bathroom cabinets and make up bags of our stars! What they really use to achieve their beautiful, healthy skin and for it to be accessible and achievable for us too. Social media has given us all the opportunity to peak behind the celeb beauty curtain and it has proven to be a powerful tool for the industry. We can’t help but get hooked in by a celeb skin care routine rundown or a product review filmed in front of the bathroom mirror! They are just. Like. Us.

We often take a scroll through social media to see if we can spot any of our favourite skincare treatments being spoken about by celebrities. We thought we would share a few of the products that we have seen being discussed over recent months by some big celebrity names.
