Laser Hair Removal – Dos and Don’ts
18/05/2023
Injectable cosmetic procedures such as dermal fillers and muscle-relaxing injections have been a staple of the aesthetics industry for decades. While these treatments continue to deliver wonderful results and are used the world over, many people are unaware of the newer innovations and techniques being used for skin rejuvenation.
In this blog, we will explore 3 of our most sought-after injectable treatments which will help boost hydration and improve the overall appearance and skin quality!
Skin Boosters
At the Dr Tanja Medical Aesthetic Clinic, we use Pluryal skin boosters. These contain Hyaluronic Acid (HA) and Glycerol which will help to restore the skin’s natural balance resulting in a youthful, glowing appearance and an improvement in skin density and volume. Additional products can be added to enhance results, creating a bespoke treatment for patients depending on their individual needs.
By combining the power of Hyaluronic Acid and antioxidants, Skin Boosters can be used to tackle the following concerns:
- Acne scars
- Dehydrated skin
- Superficial lines and wrinkles
- Loss of skin structure, glow, density and/or firmness
- Enlarged pores
A course of 3 treatment sessions is recommended, with a top-up treatment undertaken after 6-9 months.
Polynucleotides
Polynucleotides are at the forefront of medical aesthetics, they are renowned for their regenerative effects and offering next-level anti-ageing and restorative results for the face, eye, and hair areas. They restore elasticity and hydration to all skin types regardless of age. Polynucleotides work well with, and indeed enhance, other aesthetic procedures, so they are a great addition to our already incredible laser technology.
- Skin Laxity
- Lines and Wrinkles
- Dull skin
- Hair thinning/loss
Polynucleotides treatments can be undertaken as a stand-alone treatment course or combined with laser treatment to boost results and take our patient’s anti-ageing rejuvenation journey up to the next level!
PhilArt is our polynucleotide of choice, with studies finding 90% of patients using PhilArt had clinical improvements in their skin texture as well as a reduction of superficial fine lines and wrinkles.
Your own Growth factors
This treatment uses plasma taken from the patient’s own blood sample, which is then spun down to give a concentrated sample of growth factors and proteins which are then injected back into the skin or scalp. Activated platelets within the plasma release growth factors, enhancing the skin or hair follicles to help intensely hydrate, rejuvenate and stimulate the targeted area. This is often referred to as the ‘Vampire Facial” and has been a celeb favourite for many years! This treatment can help with:
- Pigmentation
- Skin Laxity
- Lines and Wrinkles
- Dull skin
- Scarring
- Rosacea
- Hair thinning/loss
Many people will start to see and feel a difference in their skin quality and appearance after just a few days, however, optimal results are seen after 3 weeks when its collagen boost is in full swing! For hair treatment, patients can expect to see an improvement in hair growth after just 8 weeks.
As previously mentioned, ALL rejuvenating treatments discussed in this blog can be undertaken safely in combination with laser treatment or as stand-alone treatment courses with superb results!
Psst… Don’t forget…
We couldn’t finish our blog without mentioning Muscle Relaxing Injections and Dermal Fillers! Both treatments are great ways to further enhance features.
Muscle relaxing injections can help to reduce lines and wrinkles, while Fillers can add volume to areas such as the undereyes, cheeks or lips.
