PATIENT JOURNEY

When we launched our Medical Laser Clinic in 2016 (initially under a different name), our aim was to provide a uniquely different clinic experience, where outstanding expertise and quality of treatment go hand-in-hand with highly professional and friendly customer care. These attributes run through every step of our patient’s journey, from your first contact with the clinic to your consultation, treatments and after treatment reviews.

THE CLINIC

 

Patients are seen at either the Candover Clinic, a stand-alone Private Clinic, with 12 consulting rooms and a day case surgical unit, located on the highly regarded Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital site or at our Silchester Clinic, The Pavillion, based in a more rural, calm and quiet area for those that prefer this more relaxed environment or would like discreet appointments.

The clinic is open from 9am-8pm Monday to Friday as well as some Saturday mornings. Our reception team is available by phone, email or in person, to guide you through your time at the clinic.

BOOKING A CONSULTATION

 

When you contact us, we start with an informal chat, asking about your concerns. Our experienced staff will be able to go through potential treatments that can help with your concerns. We will also address any wider areas of skin/body concerns you may have and guide you towards which treatments may be most beneficial for you. 

You would then be offered an initial consultation for our clinical team to discuss your concerns in more detail and decide on the most appropriate treatment plan for you. 

You will also be sent an information pack, including a medical questionnaire and pre and post treatment information that will need to be completed prior to your first consultation.

PRE-TREATMENT CONSULTATION

 

Before your appointment our highly qualified team will have already had the opportunity of reading your medical questionnaire and reviewing any photos you may have already sent in. 

This first consultation is the most valuable opportunity for you to talk  through your concerns and discuss your desired goals on your journey with us. It is very important that we fully understand what you would like to achieve and we will also offer our expert opinion on how we can help. 

At this appointment, if suitable, we will undertake detailed skin analysis with the Observ which looks at the layers of your skin and enables us to give you a detailed assessment of your starting point on your skin journey with us. If your treatment plan is going to involve laser treatments, we would also undertake a patch test with the appropriate Fotona laser for your needs. The patch test helps you to know what to expect in terms of sensation and any reactions your skin may have to this treatment. 

We are fortunate at our clinics to be at the forefront of aesthetic treatments, with the best lasers and devices in our clinics, along with the best injectables and of course the most important our highly qualified and experienced clinicians caring for you.

QUOTATION

 

After your consultation, we will send you a quotation for your treatment and a suggested treatment plan. If more than one session is required, we will include the number of recommended sessions and the length of time each appointment is likely to take. If you have any questions after receiving this, please do contact us and we are always happy to answer any of your further questions.

Once you have decided to proceed, we will book your first treatment appointment.

YOUR TREATMENT

 

At your first treatment appointment you will have the opportunity to ask any further questions you may have before proceeding and will then be required to sign a consent form for the treatment. We always take photographs pre and post treatment to be kept on your personal medical records, we are required to do this medicolegally. It is also invaluable to assess the progress of your skin during  your course of treatment. Your consent is also required for photographs to be taken. During the treatment session you will be advised on aftercare to optimise your results and advised about the interval needed before your next session.

AFTER YOUR TREATMENT

 

We always encourage you to come back to see us following the end of your treatment course, for a courtesy review appointment. This is a great opportunity to review your progress and see if you have any further questions or needs. This is also an opportunity to discuss maintenance of your skin following your treatment and we can prescribe any relevant at-home skincare if required to ensure your results are maintained for as long as possible.
