The clinic will still be open throughout the November lockdown and Dr Tanja Phillips will still be treating those patients that are suitable for treatment during this time. So unfortunately, we have once again, entered another lockdown. We are all leaving the house less often, certainly socialising less and may well be wearing less make up…. but don’t let this make you think you should reduce your skincare routine! If anything, now is the time to give your skin the extra loving and care it needs.  It is a chance to step up your routine, add in a home peel, start or increase retinol, or treat yourself to face mask to give your skin a boost. Everyday skincare tips

As well as implementing a solid daily skincare routine, there are other ways you can help take care of your skin.

• Let your skin breathe – lockdown is a great time to reduce your use of make-up. Go bare faced, take daily walks in the open air and just let your skin breathe! Remember your Heliocare its oil free so your skin can breathe
• Wash your make up brushes – a habit all make up users should get into is washing make up brushes/sponges at the end of every week to stop the spread of germs and breakouts.
• Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate – for your general health, but also your skin health, you should be drinking at least 3 litres of water a day. You will definitely notice a difference in your overall wellbeing and skin.
• Washing pillow cases regularly – washing your pillows cases regularly is essential. Clean pillows mean clean skin!
• Sleep – at night when you’re fast asleep is when your skin is working it’s hardest. This is when the skin rebuilds its collagen and repairs damage from UV exposure, reducing wrinkles and age spots… and of course we want to avoid those under eye dark circles!
