The start of 2022 will be, for many, a time of reflection but also a time to plan and get excited for a year of new opportunities. Having enjoyed some well-deserved festivities, as well as a slow and steady return to normality following the pandemic, lots of people will now be focusing on their health and wellbeing. Dropping some extra Christmas pounds and improving overall strength and muscle tone is a common goal for patients in the New Year.
For the last month or so, the team at the Dr Tanja Phillips Medical Aesthetic Clinic have been trialing a wonderful new Fotona TightWave treatment and are so excited to introduce the treatment to our patients. In combination with a healthy, balanced diet, this treatment is perfect for tightening and toning stubborn areas and complementing a healthy lifestyle. So, if you are looking for a helping hand to improve your shape this new year, we’ve got you covered.
How does the treatment work?
Using non-invasive technology, magnetic pulses safely penetrate muscle layers, causing them to contract effortlessly. This means that 100% of the targeted muscle is engaged, improving strength and tone, all without YOU lifting a finger!
What does the treatment involve?
Magnetic paddles are placed onto the area and securely strapped in place. There is no need to remove clothing and during the 30-minute session, patients can simply lay back on the couch and relax!
What areas can be treated?
Fotona TightWave can be performed on the following ‘problem’ areas:
- Abdomen
- Buttocks
- Legs (upper and lower)
- Back
- Arms (upper)
How many treatments are needed?
Dr Tanja recommends a course of 8 treatment sessions for maximum results. This can be arranged to best suit the patient’s lifestyle, for example: 2 per week for 4 weeks or 1 per week for 8 weeks. However, an improvement can often be seen after the 3rd-4th session!
